◇The type of stainless steel flange

•Weld neck flange-is a common type of forged flanges,who has a long welding neck.The stainless steel weld neck flange is usually welded to pipes or butt welding fittings.Hence,the inside holes of weld neck flange is related to the wall thickness of pipes and butt welding fittings.Stainless steel weld neck flange is installed in high pressure environment because it has a long welding neck.

•Stainless steel slip on flange-is slipped over the pipe and then fillet welded.Slip on flange are easy to use in fabricated applications.

•Stainless steel socket weld flange-is counter bored to accept the pipe before being fillet welded.The bore of pipe and flanges are both the same therefore giving good flow characteristics.

•Stainless steel threaded flange-is referred to as either threaded or screwed.It is used to connect other threaded components in low pressure ,non-critical applications.No welding is required.

•Stainless steel blind flange-is one type of flange,which is no middle hole .It is usually used to blank off pipelines ,vales and pumps ,it can also be used as an inspection cover.Sometimes it is referred to as a blanking flange.

•Lap joint flange-Stainless steel Lap joint flanges are always used with stub end which is butt welded to pipe with the flange loose behind it .The lap joint is favoured in low pressure applications because it is easy to assemble.
