Product details

Suppliers of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes offer a wide range of options to cater to varying industrial requirements. These pipes are highly sought after for their durability and corrosion resistance. Among the popular choices is the ASTM A312 TP316 Seamless Pipe, which is known for its exceptional strength and seamless finish. Another option is the SS 316 Seamless Pipe, which is widely used in industries where resistance to chemical and high-temperature environments is crucial. For applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance, the 316L Seamless Pipe is an excellent choice. Additionally, 254 SMO Seamless Pipe is highly recommended for its superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Another notable option is the 904l Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe, which offers excellent resistance to both acidic and alkaline environments. When considering these stainless steel seamless pipes, it is important to keep in mind the price factor, as it varies depending on the specifications and quantities required.

The elements that are usually added to Stainless steel seamless pipe for alloying purposes are niobium, titanium, nickel, nitrogen, molybdenum, copper, and others. These elements contribute to the high corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the stainless steel seamless pipe. For example, ASTM A312 TP304 seamless pipe is highly resistant to weak corrosive media like steam, air, and water and also to chemically corrosive media including alkali, acid, and salt. This makes it an ideal choice for use in a wide range of applications.

Stainless steel seamless pipe material standard:

  • The ASTM A312 is a standard specification that outlines the requirements for seamless, welded, and heavily cold worked austenitic stainless steel pipes. These specifications are essential for ensuring the quality and performance of stainless steel pipes used in various applications.
The ASTM A312 covers a wide range of dimensions, sizes, and types of pipes, including those used in high-temperature and corrosive environments. It provides guidelines for the manufacturing process, including the methods of welding and cold working, which are crucial for achieving the desired mechanical properties of the pipes.
The seamless pipes specified in ASTM A312 are manufactured without any welding or joining processes, ensuring a high level of integrity and strength. On the other hand, the welded pipes are fabricated by joining two or more sections using various welding techniques, such as fusion welding or electric resistance welding. These pipes undergo rigorous testing to ensure their structural integrity and resistance to corrosion.
The heavily cold worked austenitic stainless steel pipes specified in ASTM A312 are subjected to extensive cold deformation processes, such as cold drawing or cold rolling. These processes improve the mechanical properties of the pipes, including increased tensile strength and improved dimensional accuracy.
It is important to adhere to the specifications outlined in ASTM A312 to ensure the proper selection, manufacturing, and installation of stainless steel pipes. By following these standards, manufacturers and end-users can have confidence in the reliable and long-lasting performance of these pipes in diverse industrial applications.

  • The ASTM A213 standard sets forth the specifications for seamless tubes made from ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel. These tubes are primarily used in boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers to ensure efficient thermal transfer. The tubes must be produced using high-quality materials and manufacturing processes to meet the rigorous demands of these critical applications. As such, they must exhibit exceptional resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, and other stresses. The ASTM A213 standard provides the necessary guidelines to ensure that these tubes meet the required standards of quality and performance.

  • The ASTM A269 is a widely recognized standard specification for seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing used for general service. This specification ensures that the tubing meets the required standards and is suitable for a wide range of applications. The austenitic stainless steel used in the tubing provides exceptional resistance to corrosion and a high level of durability, making it ideal for use in harsh environments. The seamless and welded construction of this tubing provides additional strength and reliability, ensuring that it can withstand even the toughest conditions. Overall, the ASTM A269 is an important guideline for ensuring the quality and reliability of austenitic stainless steel tubing produced for general service applications.

SMLS Pipe Material properties

Stainless Seamless Pipe is a long steel material with a hollow section and no joints around it, which is made of a steel ingot or a solid tube billet through perforation to make a capillary tube, and then undergoes hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing process. Compared with other ordinary steel pipes, the stainless seamless pipe has a strong advantage in bending resistance. The tensile strength of Seamless pipe is more than 8-10 times that of ordinary steel, the elastic modulus is better than steel, and it has good creep resistance, corrosion resistance and shock resistance.

ASTM A312 TP316 seamless pipe is mainly used to transport media, the main function is to transport fluid, Seamless is usually a large diameter pipe, stainless steel seamless pipe has a strong yield strength, and bending resistance. The stainless steel seamless pipe production standard complies with ASME B36.19. Both process piping and public engineering piping are made of seamless pipes, which are often connected with accessories such as valves, tees, and elbows. Stainless steel seamless pipe is mainly used to transport fluid medium, and a large number of pipes are used to transport fluid, such as water, gas, natural gas, oil, boilers, mechanical parts, and sewage pipes.

Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Hot Rolling Production Process

Stainless steel seamless pipe hot rolling production process: tube billet→heating→piercing→three-roll cross rolling, continuous rolling→pipe removal→sizing→cooling→straightening→hydraulic test→marking→warehousing.

After the tube blank is out of the furnace, it must be pierced by a piercing machine. Generally, the more common piercing machine is the tapered roller steel pipe piercing machine. This kind of piercing machine has high production efficiency, good product quality, large perforation diameter expansion, and can wear a variety of steel types. After piercing, the tube blank is successively cross-rolled and continuously rolled by three rolls. After extrusion, the tube should be taken off for sizing. The sizing machine uses a conical drill to rotate at high speed into the steel blank to punch holes to form a steel pipe (the inner diameter of the steel pipe is determined by the length of the outer diameter of the sizing machine drill).

After the steel pipe is sized, it enters the cooling tower and is cooled by spraying water. After the steel pipe is cooled, it will be straightened. After the steel pipe is straightened, it is sent to the metal flaw detector by the conveyor belt for internal flaw detection. If there are cracks, bubbles, and other problems inside the steel pipe, it will be detected.
