French automaker Renault has signed a new three year framework agreement with elevator and escalator firm KONE to supply a full range of vehicles in several European countries starting 2013.

KONE has selected Renault due its product lineup including the electric vehicles, the total cost of ownership of its products, and the sales network quality and density.

Under the agreement, Renault Retail Group Nice will supply about 800 vehicles per year to KONE in France, while the highest supplies are expected in France, Russia, Spain, Belgium and Sweden.

The agreement will see Renault supply 30% passenger cars and 70% light commercial vehicles with emphasis on low emission vehicles and electric models.

In addition, the other reason for selecting Renault is the existence of Renault Tech, the business unit that alters and customises the vehicles and accessories created in 2008.
